"We don't want it where players are haggling over £20 here or £100 there," he said.
"That's the mentality we have to have and we will be better because of it.
"We won't be bullied into offering an extra £100 just because a player may have an offer somewhere else.
"Alan (Hardy, Notts owner) and I will try to come up with a structure which is going to work for the club but also help us be successful on the pitch too."
