Stall Back On The Goal Trail

Stallard finished top scorer with 25 goals last season, and also claimed the clubs "Player of the Season" award for the second time in three seasons and wasted no time in finding the net at The New Manor Ground.

Paul Bolland's fine cross was tucked away by Stallard after six minutes yesterday afternoon was Notts started their pre-season campaign with a 3-1 win.

Obviously it is only pre-season, but goals bring confidence to strikers and with Stallard finding the net so early, lets hope its the first of many this coming season season from Super Stall, who has scored 71 goals for The Magpies since his arrival in March 1999.

Fellow strikers Paul Heffernan and Tony Hackworth were also on target yesterday at Ilkeston, with Hackworth's strike being his first for some time with the first team.
