Scunthorpe snap up Bara

Baraclough is the first of the 9 players released by Gary Mills this summer to find himself a new club, and that may well come as a surprise to many Notts fans.

The veteran utility man has enjoyed two seperate three year spells at Meadow Lane, though it was clear to everyone that in his second spell, the years were starting to catch up with him.

Despite this, Baraclough played 34 times for Notts this season, including the 90 minutes in the League Cup defeat at Stamford Bridge, where 'Bara' excelled.

The 33-year-old is known to be something of a set piece specialist, has great technique and has a cracking left foot, but, despite this, may count himself fortunate to still be playing league football after the season he's just had.

We wish Bara all the best.
