“It’s been very good, I’ve enjoyed [playing under Maynard] so far, we played the same shape for the first few games as the one that was played under the last manager, so I think that helped the team adjust to his ways early on.

“The style is going to be the same whatever formation we play though, we try to keep the ball and pass it through the thirds, which suits everyone in this team around me because that is what they’ve been used to.

“I think it suits me to be in a system like this because some teams I’ve played for in the past have not had the same structure or focus on keeping the ball and playing good football. In those teams, you can often get bypassed as a midfielder if the team are playing long.

“From what I’ve experienced so far in my short time here, the manager’s style is right for me and the rest of the midfield players at the club which is good.

“I hope that I can find somewhat of a home [at Notts] and spend the next few years here, settle down and hopefully continue to play regularly as I have done in the first few weeks.

“I’ve come from a situation at Fleetwood where I wasn’t playing as much as I’d like so it has been a nice change in that sense because it was important for me to get involved in a proper first-team environment.

“My initial conversations before joining the club were with Luke [Williams] - he moved on soon after, but I think the most important thing at this club is retaining one vision all the way through, so the processes and way of playing haven’t changed much here, from what I know.

“This is probably the best team I’ve played for in terms of the way we play which has made me enjoy the last month or so a lot.”
