The former Scarborough and Bradford Chairman is ready for the task ahead at Meadow Lane, and understands communication is very important with the supporters, something that has been lacking in recent years at Meadow Lane.

"You will always find me to be an open, honest figure. I do not hide, I will always face up to everything." He told the Evening Post.

"It is important to communicate, particularly with the fans, and I have always tried to do that." He added.

On Raj Bhatia and Frank Strang, Richmond pointed out they have a strict buisness plan for the next three years.

"Speaking to Frank (Strang) and Raj (Bhatia), they have approached things very sensibly," said Richmond.

"They have a three-year business plan and some very realistic budgets.

"In fact, I would say the budgets are a little too cautious. But that is no bad thing. If you are always prepared for the worst case scenario, then you can never be caught out." Richmond continued.
