Brindley said “We’re back at the fortress with the amazing fans we have here at Meadow Lane, so having the two home games with a free week in between is a wonderful opportunity for us to build some momentum.
“It’s been a difficult start with the Saturday and Tuesday games, but football is relentless and nobody will feel sorry for you and we don’t have the time to do that so we have to get back on the pitch and right our wrongs very quickly.
“Last year was very different, the challenges were very different, and how can we deal with that type of loss (at Sutton on the opening day) and be able to push on and have the courage to put things right?
"Not being in that position very much last season, it was unfamiliar but I think the lads have done really well in that unfamiliar position to turn it around quickly and get the wins under our belt."
