Norman Smurthwaite said “I live close to the club and I have been watching some games because it was felt I shouldn’t go to home games at Port Vale because it gives them a security headache.
“I will be there again this Saturday watching a game of football and I will be going to MK Dons on the last game of the season to watch them play Mansfield so hopefully they get promoted.
“I have no intention of making an offer for Notts County, but that doesn’t say I won’t go and watch a bit of football there.”
