Hereford United winger Lionel Ainsworth is having a fantastic season so far, and rightly picks up this accolade for the second time.

The England under-19 ace hit a hat-trick as the Bulls collected a thrilling 3-2 win at Stockport County.

Graham Turner's men led just 1-0 at the break following a chip from Ainsworth before the dimnutive speedster notched a second with a short range header soon after the break.

Anthony Elding's penalty reduced the arrears but Ainsworth again notched with twenty minutes left meaning a Wayne Brown own goal was just a consolation for the Hatters.

Ainsworth signed on at Edgard Street in the summer after his release from Derby County where he served his apprenticeship.

It was his second hat-trick of the season after he bagged a treble in United's fine 4-1 Carling Cup win over League One Yeovil Town in August.

His first player of the weekend accolade came at the end of September after Hereford beat Bradford City 4-2, with Ainsworth playing a starring role.

A week after he performed as Notts were defeated 3-2 at Meadow Lane.
