Neal Ardley said “Alex felt a little bit of tightness in his hamstrings five to 10 minutes into the second half.
“It is probably a result of Saturday, Tuesday for four or five weeks and people think if you leave one or two out, they go ‘why has he left him out and stuff like that’.
“I have to otherwise I’m going to break them. I’d rather lose a player for a game to freshen him up than lose him for four or five weeks.
“He didn’t feel quite comfortable enough to carry on during Saturday’s game. So we’re not at the moment in a position where we feel it's something serious.
“But I think it’s something that might not turn itself around in time.”
