Paul Heffernan Sat Out The Matches Because Of Injury
The Magpies took part in a 3 team tournament in Italy yesterday afternoon, where they took on Skoda Xanthi FC from Greece, and Italian side Val Rendena Trentino.

Notts took on Skoda first, and after a scoreless 45 minutes the match went to penalties, which Notts lost 5-4 with Ian Baraclough missing the crucial penalty for The Magpies.

Next up was Val Rendena Trentino after a ten minute break, and with some tired legs following the first match, Notts were defeated 1-0 against the Italians.

Paul Bolland and Paul Heffernan missed the matches because of injury, althought it is reported neither injury is too serious.

The players flew out to Italy last Wednesday to their training camp in the Dolomites, and will return to the UK this afternoon, with their next pre-season matches coming thick and fast, with Stoke City and Royal Antwerp visiting Meadow Lane on Tuesday and Friday this coming week to round off Notts' pre-season.
