Luke Williams sang the forwards praises by saying: “I don’t know what to say, really. He is so ruthless around the goal. You look at the way he chased down the central defenders and the goalkeeper to force him to kick under pressure, then the next action, if we win a header, he is back onside.

“When you have that work rate and desire to go and help the team while scoring goals at will as he does, no one can argue with the position he has got himself into. He works so hard to always be in the correct position, and he is not afraid to miss.

“It is an amazing return, but we have to be aware that there are a lot of guys out there who are helping him and aware of where he is and are trying to find him with crosses into feet or balls into the areas he wants to be.

“Even the goalkeeper is looking to see if the opposition makes a mistake, and he can hit the ball straight into (Langstaff). We have to give credit to a team of players who all appreciate the qualities he has and are also really willing to try and help him.”
