Williams said “I think that we are looking at a longer-term injury than we’d first hoped.
“The reason there isn’t a timescale is because at the moment we need to get through the early stages and see how Cedwyn reacts.
“Then we can start to make a plan moving forward and hope there are no bumps in the road with that and once that is in place we’ll have a much clearer idea of when he will be back in a few week's time when we’ve got through some of the tough stuff in the beginning.
“It’s not a case of us withholding information we just need to be careful with putting a timescale on it until we’re more confident about that.
“He is very disappointed of course but we’re all going to be here to help him.
“The medical team will do a great job in trying to get him back fit and raise his spirits when he has to go through the tough rehabilitation work that can be dull and make you feel excluded but we’ll do our best to keep him involved with the group.”
