Kyle Cameron has spoken after Notts County 1-1 draw with Barrow

Cameron said “It was a well-earned point in the end, we could’ve done more to warrant winning the game, but coming off the back of a 5-5 draw it was good to limit [Barrow’s] chances a little more.

“On another day, we could’ve perhaps won the game, but it is a good start [under the new head coach]. It was difficult after they scored because they tried to bank up and put 11 behind the ball, which they did for most of the game after that, even at 1-1.

“We knew what a team like Barrow were going to do so we responded well to get back into the game and get something from it. Aaron [Nemane] has started shipping in with goals which is great for him and Jodi [Jones] is just doing what he does in providing for others - they’re both having a great spell and long may that continue.

“There has not been a lot of change [from the previous coach], which is good for the lads to make a seamless transition. The gaffer has looked to make little tweaks here and there and as we all know it is defensively where we need to improve as a team.

“We’ve conceded too many goals on the whole so we’re just trying to sure things about behind the ball which I think we were able to do for the most part [against Barrow]. Going forward, we’re trying to keep things mostly the same because we have the quality up there.

“We’re getting to know [the new coaches] and learning what they want from us. We’re cracking on with things and letting them get across their messages to us the right way.”
