Finnity Remains Confident

A takeover cannot be completed before the deadline as a creditors meeting is yet to be called, with Finnity having to give two weeks notice to all creditors before the meeting is called.

The meeting is one of the final steps regarding any takeover at Meadow Lane, with Frank Strang and Raj Bhatia's group in the running along with Albert Scardino's group.

With the news that Notts will have to go past the deadline will surely make a few hairs stand up on Magpies fans necks, but Finnity remains positive.

"I am quietly confident that it will not be a problem," Finnity told the Evening Post.

"Nothing is certain, you can never guarantee anything in football.

"But we are still working hard to resolve things and I am confident everything will still go through.

"There will be a creditors meeting in the near future. One will be scheduled soon.

"This has been and continues to be a long, complex process.

"But I am still as confident as I have been about the future of the club."
