After yesterday's meeting with the Football League resulted in a 13-week stay of execution for Notts, Paul Finnity has spoken about the club's current situation. Nationwide.co.uk report that the club's administrator expects the club to survive.

This will be a boost to all Notts fans who are aware that the club has been warned to be out of administration by December 9th or face expulsion from the Football League.

But Finnity is confident that the deal with the Blenheim consortuim should be completed within one month- by October 9th.

He told the Nottingham Evening Post "I will be aiming for things to be resolved by October 9th. I don't see any reason why that shouldn't happen"

He then went on to say that he was suprised by how much time the club had been given to resolve their off-field problems.

"I suspected that we would only be given a month or so to work things out - and I would have been confident of working within such a deadline. Now we have more time, but I don't expect we'll need it"

Let's all hope that this time he is right.
