Johnson goes straight in to the Kilmarnock side for their game against his old club Celtic tomorrow. Johnson spent 4 years at Parkhead but his spent most of his time injured or out of favour.

The 31 year-old made just 29 appearances for the Glasgow side scoring an impressive 20 goals.

Those included the vital goals that won the CIS Insurance Cup against Aberdeen and wrested the Scottish Premier League from the grip of Rangers for the first time in three seasons.

Meanwhile ex-Magpies Gary Martindale and Mark Quayle are set to appear for Telford in the 3rd round of the FA Trophy at Ilkeston tomorrow.

Neither player quite made the grade at Notts, Martindale making 43 (plus 34 sub) appearances, scoring 15 goals, and Quayle making just 2 (and 6 sub) failing score.
