Dadi back for Stags clash

The Nottingham Forest striker – who is on loan at Meadow Lane until the end of the season – took a knock to the head during the 2-1 defeat to Lincoln City – an injury that was of much concern to Gudjon Thordarson and colleagues.

Having taken the weekend off, Dadi is expected to feature in Saturday’s local derby after seeing the club doctor over the weekend, a welcome boost for the Magpies considering their recent barren spell.

"He trained on Monday but felt a bit dizzy on Saturday and Sunday. It looked like it was quite serious and we were worried at the time. He could not remember scoring the goal that was disallowed or the result. He thought it was 1-1," said Gudjon Thordarson, speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post earlier today.

"He fainted at the end but he has seen the doctor and been given the all clear. It appears he is not concussed."

"There are not a great deal of options up front so it is a relief. We missed out on a striker last Friday but I will keep working on it and plugging away"

On that note, NCM believe that this unnamed striker is Barnsley and former Manchester United hitman, Danny Nardiello.

Gudjon Thordarson is believed to have been hot on the trail of the former United trainee, 23, after falling out of favour at the Oakwell of late.

In any case, be sure to check back to NCM for an intensive build up to Saturday’s big game over the course of the week.
