Monkhouse... Moss' Player of the Weekend
Since arriving at the Victoria Ground, Monkhouse has hit goals against Mansfield, Notts and Grimsby in wins for in form Pool.

The tricky middle man made his trade in an eight year spell with Rotherham United where he made almost 150 appearances as a young gun.

The Leeds born player is highly rated in League Two, as he established himself as Dennis Wise's first signing at the County Ground. Monky has since become one of the most sought after left sided midfielders in lower league football.

Plagued by injury at Swindon, Monkhouse was loaned out to Hartlepool this season before completing his move to Swindon's League Two rivals for an undisclosed fee in last month's transfer window.

His ability to link up with the front men and even offer the services of an out and out striker could see the young Englishman go a long way in the next few years.

His goal this weekend see's his new club within two points of his former side and just six away from league leaders Walsall, as Hartlepool go in search of an immediate return to League One football, after a heart breaking last day relegation last season.
