“The response we have had to this has been nothing short of phenomenal and I would just like to thank the Nottingham public for their incredible support,” Hardy said.

“It’s been just over a year since I came into the club and I just felt I had to do something special to commemorate the anniversary.

“I understand that football can be costly, but this enables everybody who may not have been able to get to a game this season, to come down and give the players and the manager their support.

“We’ve had excellent attendances this season and we are hoping that this offer will help build and maybe even attract more regulars through the turnstiles.

“I am hoping to see a swathe of black and white, and I would hope that we can beat the gate for the Manchester City FA Cup tie in 2011.

“But it would be amazing if we could go one better and beat the 18,500 which watched us also play Man City in 1991.”
