Who Are Ya, Avun Jephcott?

Another graduate of the Coventry City youth side, Coventry born striker Avun Jephcott has joined team-mate David Pipe on loan at Meadow Lane for a single month where the pair will team up with their former coach Gary Mills, who has described Jephcott as a well-built front man with a decent touch and an eye for goals.

Jephcott has emerged as a skilful marksman for the Coventry second-string side and also during a work-experience spell with Tamworth where Jephcott chalked up 5 goals with the non-league outfit.

However the 6”2 striker’s first team opportunities, like team-mate Pipe’s, have been restricted to just appearance for the Sky Blue, as he turned out in City’s 2-0 victory in the First Round of the Carling Cup.
