All in all not a bad start to the season. To say we have only lost once against all 3 relegated Div 1 teams away from home, the league leaders, the 2nd favourites and our bogey side (Wycombe) I would have to take that. Speed IE grumble's... Nicky Fenton - quality centre-half, piss-poor right winger. Fenton goes on the charge at 2-0 up, leaving the slowest man on the pitch 1-on-1 at the back. Centre backs going walkabout is ok at 4 or 5-0, but at 2-0, anything can happen! |

I have to agree with you on most of the points. But we don't have any money like other clubs Grant do we? I have also, interestingly enough heard in the stands that Liburd is on his way to Rusdhen.

I would like to shed a little praise, and ofcourse those of you who know me, a little grumble. It hurt me very much to see Notts fall behind to the goals struck by the Bee's on Saturday. Now I have been a Notts fan for over thirty years and I have seen both highs and lows. This current team I have to say, is not going to go places this season I am disappointed to say. What happened to the saying "Allsopp and Stallard" will always score goals in this division. The forwards are fine lets face it. Allsopp is having another bad patch it seems and I would give him a kick up the a*se and replace him with the young Irish superstar, Paul Heffernan.
But the point I really want to make is the Interview with Albert Scardino on this site. Now I visit this website every day, as I think it's fantastic and better than the official site as a mater of fact. And I have seen many interviews with Albert and some of his answers to certain questions leave me puzzled beyond belief.
For exapmle, he said that we can compete with what, 17 players? Is he mad? I believe we need a squad of at least 25. Give credit to Jocky Scott, at least we were never short of players with him, whether they were good or not is the different matter completely.
Now, I am in full voice for Dearden, but some of his substitutions leave me puzzled sometimes.
But the point I am making is, we need a bigger teamn, with better quality to compete.
