McHugh are ya?

Name: Frazer McHugh

Birth date: 14th July 1981
Birth place:
Nottingham

Nationality: Scottish
Position: Central Midfielder

The Nottingham-born midfielder made his Magpies debut against the very same team that he grew up playing for, that team being
Swindon Town. Although since his Swindon days, he has gone on to play on the non-league stage with
Tamworth and Gainsborough before earning a contract with Bradford City.

It was at Bradford where McHugh has, like many of Gary Mills’ loan signings, been starved of first-team chances – featuring just 5 times for the Bantams before being released only recently.

However his time as a free-agent was short lived as Mills wasted no-time in picking up McHugh on a one-month contract.

The 22-year old Scot appears in my eyes, as I mentioned in my ‘Bringing It Home’ column, to be a similar type of player to Michael Brough – currently training with Carlisle United – but with a lot more beef and a more compelling role to play.
