O Grady
Nottingham-born Chris O’Grady becomes yet another raw talent subtly entering through the gates at Meadow Lane, so perhaps it would be considered to have hung, drawn and quartered Mills for the loan of this untested character before even his Magpies bow. Sceptics may well perceive this latest capture as another almighty clutch of straws, but you’d be hard-pushed to think that the Curriculum Vitae of this teenage striker is totally fruitless.

A regular member of Nottingham County’s school-boy sides, O’Grady comes to the club with just the one first team appearance to his name from the 2002/03 season, yet with a cemented position in the reserve set-up at the Walkers Stadium. Chris has long been considered a prospect worthy of flourish, after fast-tracking through the Foxes’ under-17’s and under-19’s sides towards his first team debut, coming from the bench against Grimsby in 2003.

O’Grady, a fixture in all five of City’s reserve outings this season, also boasts international honours with England and under-17 and under-18 levels

The 18-year old will occupy the number 29 jersey, and will be in contention for tomorrow’s trip to Rochdale.
