NCM EXCLUSIVE interview with JUNIOR MENDES

Last updated : 17 March 2007 By Gary Moss

Notts County striker Mendes today told NCM that there is an uneasy relationship between himself and Magpie's Manager Steve Thompson.

Mendes...Unhappy with Thommo
Mendes, 30, has been loaned out to Lincoln City for a month, and is unsure whether he will ever return to Meadow Lane.

When asked if he has played his last game for Notts he said: "Who knows. Maybe under Steve Thompson because I wasn't happy with him. I'll say that now, I'll say that anytime".

The striker admits he still has a great love for the club and was disappointed to see their defeat to Bristol Rovers today.

"I've got a lot of friends there…I want them to win as many games as possible.

"I saw the result today and I was gutted to be fair".

On the other hand, Mendes may still wear a black and white shirt before the end of the season.

If this is the case, he has promised to give his all: "I'm a professional and if I'm called on, I am always willing to give 100%".

"It's not just for myself but it's for my team mates back at Notts County and the fans as well".
