Notts pick up Home Park point

Notts County picked up a useful point on the road on Tuesday afternoon as Lee Hughes cancelled out Stephane Zubar's early leveller to seal a draw at a misty Home Park. Hughes returned to the starting line up to partner Lee Miller for Notts, whilst Krystian Pearce continued at centre half alongside Mike Edwards. In midfield, Ricky Ravenhill missed out with Ben Davies moving into the centre to partner Neal Bishop.

Things got off to the worst possible start for the Magpies as early pressure saw right back Stephane Zubar power home a header from a set piece that left Rob Burch with no chance. Notts quickly got back on level terms however as former Argyle loanee Alan Judge cannoned a low shot against the inside of the post from the edge of the area, but it rebounded kindly for Hughes who slotted in for the fourth successive game.

The game failed to live up to this frenetic start however and always seemed to be meandering towards a draw. Joe Mason came closest to winning it for Plymouth, clattering the woodwork. Miller and Judge both forced saves from David Button and Bradley Wright-Phillips forced a stunning save from Burch to preserve Notts' point.
