No commitment, no passion. We know where that leads you

Notts fans are starting to dispair and it is showing on the gates. If Cardiff wouldn't have been todays oppositon, the attendence would have been barely 5,000, if that.

But once more it's all down to the players - it was the same case last year, they are simply not good enough, in my opinion.

But what can Billy do? He can only do so much, but when the players cross the touchline it's all down to them.

As I have said previously get rid of Cas and Caskey, today their performance matched my previous statement. They are poor and overpaid. And too inconsistant especially Cas, he is absoloutly terrible.

Poor Paul Bolland, he does try hard, although I didn't rate him last season, this year he has been one of our better players. Richard Liburds performance was one of the poorest I have ever seen of him, he clearly wasn't bothered.

Stallard and Allsopp were ineffective but they had no service and the Cardiff defence marked them well really. Drop a few of the players would be my advice to Billy, give them a wake up call especially, Cas, Caskey and Allsopp. Ramsden is nothing special either, nothing special whatsoever.

It was the Cardiff fans who were making most of the racket, they were in sound voice and there players matched their vocal efforts.

Former Notts player Andy Legg ran Marcel Cas out of the game, and Legg also delivered two breathtaking throw in's - oh the memories.

But now to the match. It looked, inside the first twenty minutes like the teams were in a different division. The Cardiff BlueBirds simply outclassed and were better in every department than Notts County.

Notts had a lack of invention and couldn't get the basics right, Jocky Scott days spring to mind.

The build up play and general play from Cardiff was good to watch, they kept the ball and were clearly on top. It was only a matter on time since they were going to go in the lead. And on 20 minutes, in the lead they went. When Gary Croft was allowed space and time on the ball and from 35 yards he struck a beauty. It flew into the net and flew past Stuart Garden into the bottom left hand corner.

Notts' chances were few and far between in the first half. They had a few corners but nothing came of them.

Cardiff's Robert Earnshaw was the man that scuffed most of the chances that fell to the Bluebirds. Earnshaw had a good six chances but never seriously tested Garden.

In the second half Notts were a little better but still far off the mark. Cardiff let their foot off the gas a little but they were still better than the unpassionateless Notts.

The closest Notts came to a goal was from a Darren Caskey free kick just outside the BlueBirds penalty area. He struck it past the wall and beyond the Cardiff goalkeeper and it struck the outside of the post but no one was there to follow up.

Cardiff were on top and overall they dominated the game in what was one of Notts' worst performances of the season.

Something has to be done and for me it's down t the players. They are far to inconsistant and basically some of them are not up to the level that is required of them. The only positive thing was that Nick Fenton had yet another good game, if he carries on the way he is playing he will be snapped up by a bigger club.

If we carry on like this it'll be the Great Espcape - Part two. Whether we survive it or not, no one knows. Based on this performance we have to take the next ten picking up at least 15 points. We have to. The next ten teams are all outside the top eight.
