(6 Average)
Wayne Henderson- 8, Enjoyed a brilliant game before going off with a bang to the hip on the hour. Competently dealt with everything that came his way, and made 2 or 3 sterling saves, with one in particular outstanding. Few better keepers in this league.
Mike Edwards- 7, Solid and dependable. Starting to settle in nicely.
Julian Baudet- 8, Continued his quite brilliant start to his Notts career. What a signing he is proving to be. Easily dealt with the threat of Lincoln's gigantic centre forward, and uses his distribution of the ball wisely too. Immense.
Ian Richardson-7, Was solid enough but distribution and, at times, positioning, left a lot to be desired. Good in the air, and, once again, produced a number of perfectly timed tackles, though.
Rob Ullathorne- 7, Followed on his wonder goal in mid-week by producing a steady display at left back. One of Mills' better buys.
David Pipe- 8, Much, much better and looking somewhere near back to his best. Skipped past the left back on countless occasions and was at the heart of most of our best play.
Paul Bolland- 8, Surely playing some of the best football of his career. After all, it was he who arrived late in the penalty area to smash a shot against the post which, eventually, led to Notts' opener. Worked tremendously hard, always pressuring the opposition. When he plays like this, he's an asset we should be glad to have.
Matty Gill- 7, His best game in a Notts shirt so far. Even managed to create the odd chance WITHOUT his infamous throw-in. Looked tidy and kept the play moving neatly.
Tony Scully- 9, Star man. Hard not to give him 'star man' after he scored the goals that won us the game. Did well getting in support for the first, but his second showed just how much ability he possesses. Cooly skipped past a challenge before riffling an 18-yard left (his supposed weaker side) footed shot home. Brilliant.
Matty Williams- 8, Looks a completely different player. Threatening, running at defenders, holding the ball up, the only thing more you could've asked of him was to get his name on the scoresheet. Came close a couple of times, but if he continues to play in this veign, a first Notts County goal surely won't be too far away.
Glynn Hurst- 7, Worked hard without much reward. Like Williams, should have had a goal for himself, but it's hard to be too harsh on him after he showed such great commitment to the cause.
Subs
Saul Deeney (Henderson 62) - 6, Will be disappointed at conceding a late goal, but looked steady enough apart from that.
Kelvin Wilson (Scully 77)- 6, Produced neat footwork. Looks a real prospect.
Shaun Harrad (Hurst 87)- 6, No time to make an impact.
Not Used: Whitlow, McFaul.
