Match Ratings

(6 Average)

Steven Mildenhall- 5, Looked as gutted as anybody at the final whistle and Notts' fans were keen to make their feelings known that he wasn't to blame. He might feel upset about the third and fourth goals though, both were preventable.

Nicky Fenton- 4, Awful. Have to feel sorry for him because it is not his position and hopefully the new manager will see this. Was totally to blame for the 5th goal and was totally given the run-around by Farrell all game.

Tony Barras- 5, Outdone by pace the whole time. Him and Richardson just don't 'connect' as a pairing. Will probably leave soon so it doesn't really matter, though.

Ian Richardson- 6, Gets an average rating for his work rate and his never-say-die attitude, but apart from that was also all over the place. Dearden may have been right in one thing, that he plays better when he's not captain.

Kevin Nicholson- 5, Had a decent first half, where he made a few crucial tackles and headed clearences, but got gradually worse as the game wore on and was too often missing from his left back slot.

Simon Baldry- 6, Was caught in possession for their first goal, but did cause them problems with his dribbling from the right. Favourite to be the next one to go.

Paul Bolland- 5, Never in the game and never stays in his position. If he's going to play as the holding midfielder then he has to actually play where a holding midfielder plays. Headless chicken.

Darren Caskey- 2, Put in absoloutly zero work rate for the team. Lucky not be sent-off early on and his set-piece deliveries were poor. Was at fault for their 3rd.

Paul Riley- 8, Star man. Was let down by his team-mates, after he showed one of his best displays. Deserved his two goals but his all round work rate was excellent and looked absoloutly devastated at the end, which shows he cares for the club.

Mark Stallard- 4, Had an ok first half but just isn't the same player. Can't have done his confidence any good knowing he had to do all the work up front on his won, to be fair. Missed an open goal with the score at 3-2. So badly needs a goal.

Tony Hackworth- 2, Terrible. Was never in the game and didn't seem to make any attempt to get himself in it. Surely Harrad should start ahead of him everytime. Lacks confidence, to say the least.

Subs

Shaun Harrad (Hackworth- 60)- 7, Did very well. Produced one piece of magic which Stallard squandered and should start the next game.

Michael Brough (Bolland- 67)- 6, Did little wrong, did little right.

Chris Rhodes (Baldry- 87)- 6, Must have been a dream come true for the lad to play, may well get more chances next season.
