(6 Average)

Steven Mildenhall- 6, Had little to do again. Well protected by his back four and what he did have to do, he did it well.

Steve Jenkins- 7, Getting better now he's having a run in the side. Solid in the tackle and supported Baldry well going forward. Couldn't be faulted yesterday.

Nicky Fenton- 7, Solid afternoon. Partnership with Barras is slowly getting better by the week. Becoming more an more important to Notts.

Tony Barras- 8, Star man. Solid and dependable. Back to his earlier season form and had one of his best games for Notts.

Ian Richardson- 6, Completed an excellent performance from the entire back four. Still doesn't look entirely comfortable at left back but could find he'll have to stay there all season.

Simon Baldry- 8, Richly deserved his goal and was our major threat all game. Crossing was much better aswell and he was always looking for the ball. Billy's best summer signing.

Darren Caskey- 7, Had a quiet first half but picked up his game in the second period, which lifted the team. So vital to the cause now. Delivered the corner that made the goal.

Ian Baraclough- 7, Got more involved then he has done in recent games. Still gives the ball away too frequently, but did brilliantly at the end to create THAT chance that Nicholson fluffed.

Paul Riley- 6, Still doesn't look entirely sure going forward. Sometimes needs more composure on the ball. Merits his place though, for the balance that he gives the team.

Clive Platt- 6, Won everything in the air again. Him and Stall just don't gel together, which could spell bad news for him when Stall gets back to playing the way we all know that he can. Deserves his spot at the minute, though.

Mark Stallard- 5, Not happy at all. Didn't look fit and was a shadow of his usual self. I'm a bit worried he needs another op, because he certainly isn't mobile at the minute. Bad day at the office for him was topped off when Baraclough's goal bound shot hit him.

Subs

Paul Heffernan (On 70- Stallard)- 7, Again, looked lively when he came on and really made a difference. Came close to scoring twice and will surely start the next game.

Kevin Nicholson (On 85- Riley)- 3, No comment.

A game that Notts will be happy to have taken the 3 points from, as it certainly wasn't a vintage performance.

Man of the match could be anyone of 4 as no-one really shone, but the job was done. Out of the bottom four now, time to start climbing the table.

Next weeks match against Shildon is a chance for goals, but should not be taken lightly, more on that in the week.
