Match Ratings

Just to point out, these ratings are a day late because if I'd of done them yesterday I think there could have been a few with perfect 10's, I was so happy!

(6 Average)

Steven Mildenhall- 7, A solid clean sheet for Stevie, only his second in the league this season. Made a stunning save at the end, after having little to do for most of the game, a sign of a good goalie.

Steve Jenkins- 7, Was turned a few times by his winger and really needs to stop diving into rash challenges. Apart from that, had a solid afternoon and linked with Baldry well, let's hope he's fit for Bournemouth.

Nicky Fenton- 8, Looked really solid and has certainly regained his form in recent weeks. Now restored as the clubs No.1 centre half.

Tony Barras- 7, Looked like the Barras in the first few weeks, rather than the one that has struggled recently. I'd probably put Livesey ahead of him though, on current form.

Ian Richardson- 8, Solid as ever from Richo. Has always been the model professional but seems to have got even better this season. Consistently brilliant, did nothing wrong and is settling in at left back.

Simon Baldry- 7, Not quite as good as recent weeks but that's probably because we played down the left so much. With him and Riley as wingers there should be way more service for the strikers from now on. Definetly should stay on the right this time, Billy!

Darren Caskey- 9, Stunning show from Darren. Showed all the Notts fans just a glimpse of what he can do in this performance, he also worked much harder than usual. The best midfield unit I've seen play for Notts for sometime. His creativity was nothing short of brilliant.

Ian Baraclough- 8, His best game of the season so far by a mile. Did the hard work which allowed Caskey to do what he's good at. Came close to scoring on two occasions with long range efforts. Booked.

Paul Riley- 9, Star Man. Where do we start? Ryan Giggs will be quivering in his boots after this showing from Riley. Ran at the full-back, tracked back when required, delivered some excellent crosses, showed quick feet and most importantly, scored one of the goals of the season. If he is dropped Billy needs to go.

Paul Heffernan- 9, Edged out of man of the match by Riley, and like Riley, was only in because of injuries to others but should definetly keep his place next week. Caused their defence all kinds of problems, chasing a lost cause for his first goal, and producing a stunning finish for his second. Reminded us all of his undoubted ability.

Mark Stallard- 7, Was double marked, which allowed Heffernan to run riot. The classic of his precense being enough applied here. His goalscoring run had to end sometime, but we'll forgive him, as long as he scores next game!

Subs

Michael Brough (On 73- Baldry)- 7, Excellent work rate, though might not quiite of forced himself into next weeks team.

Kevin Nicholson (On 88- Jenkins)- 6, Had no time to impress.

Shane McFaul (On 89- Riley)- 6, Brought on to allow Riley a deserved ovation.
