Zadkovich departs Meadow Lane

Zadkovich requested that his contract - which expired at the end of this season - be terminated earlier in the week, in order to allow him to return to his native Australia.

The homesick youngster had been keen to return home with his parents, who had spent the last few weeks in the UK. He had also been unhappy at his lack of first-team oppurtunities, with his last appearence for the club in last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Rochdale, his first of the season.

The talented midfielder was set to make his first start of the campaign in Tuesday's 5-2 LDV Vans Trophy loss at Northampton, but was removed from the squad as a result of his request.

The 19-year-old signed for the Magpies in March after being released from the QPR academy. He made an immediate impression, netting on his debut, before following that with a number of confident displays in the Notts midfield.

He was expected to make a big impression in his first full season as a professional but failed to force his way into new manager Gudjon Thordarson's plans.

All at NCM wish him all the best.
