Best hit the games opening goal on 19 minutes, Notts' first real chance of the game. He finished from close range following good build up play on the right hand side.

Ipswich missed a penalty of the stroke of half time after a foul on Bowditch, but Chris Hogg's penalty was saved by Greg Smith in the Notts goal.

Town levelled in the 2nd half, with Antonio Murray getting the leveller after a patient build up from The Tractor Boys.

The game went into extra time, and Best got his 2nd of the game 11 minutes in the first period, again finishing well.

And despite late pressure, the young Magpies held on to make it into the 4th Round.
