Wilson's vendetta

The unforgettable hammering that Notts suffered at the Vetch Field earlier in the season has spurred County’s rising star Kelvin Wilson to get his revenge and return the favour of the 4-0 drubbing.

Wilson is determined not to let Swansea’s top goal scorer Lee Trundle have the same freedom as he did in the last encounter when he scored a hat-trick playing a large part in the massive score line.

Wilson: Point to prove
"Lee Trundle is a very good player but we just sat too deep and let him come, which is not the way to handle him," the 19-year-old told the NEP.

"We will not make the same mistake again. We will not give him the same room to hurt us.

"We have a very big point to prove. That was a match you don't like to remember.

"I know personally I didn't feel that I had the best game; we didn't play that well at all."

However Wilson feels more confident this time around with Richo switching the formation from the 3-5-2 County had last time, to a 4-4-2.

“It does feel more solid having a back four, I am a little bit happier playing that way," added the defender.

“Playing in a three-man central defence is fine but it is just easier to keep it tight in a four."

Wilson will look to continue his own good run of form of-late tomorrow, with the young defender netting twice in the Magpies last four games.
