While the Supporters Club poll was showered with controversy after player/boss Ian Richardson scooped the award (Richardson has featured in 12 games all season) there can be few arguments with the players' choice of Wilson.

The young defender has particularly impressed in the second half of the campaign since being switched inside to centre back, and has attracted interest from clubs at the very top of the English game.
Manchester Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, West Brom and numerous Championship sides (and Nottm Forest) have all sent scouts to monitor the youngster's startling progress this campaign.
The award is well-deserved, whilst the Nottingham-born player also scooped the Most Improved player gong.
The manager's player of the campaign, meanwhile, went to hard-working midfielder Paul Bolland. Though not every fans' cup of tea, Richardson loves his work rate - and there's no bigger worker in the squad then 25-year-old Bolland.
The only player who could genuinely feel aggreved to have come away empty-handed, perhaps, is veteran full-back Rob Ullathorne, who has played through the pain barrier to become arguably the Magpies most consistent player this season.
