Williams To Sign

The 22 year old product of the Manchester United youth set-up has agreed to a contract of two and a quarter years, which will keep him at Notts until the end of the 2005/2006 season.

This positive news cannot come at a more crucial moment for manager Gary Mills, who had to endure, along with us the suffering fans, a dire performance last night.

Mills Signs Yet Another Player

Although he is not what is described as a “target man” - being only 5ft 8” - he does at least give manager Mills another player to choose from to play upfront.
Many fans believe he could be the replacement for Paul Heffernan – if Heffs decides to leave Notts at the end of the summer, as he is widely expected to do so.

Mills has hinted that the Welsh under 21 player could go straight into the squad for Saturday’s crunch game with Chesterfield subject to the completion of his medical due to take place tomorrow.

“He has agreed to a contract that will keep him here for the rest of this season and then for another two years.

All that remains is for him to come and have his medical tomorrow, other than that everything is agreed.” Mills told the Nottingham Evening Post.
