The 20-year-old striker has revealed that it was boss Gary Mills persistence at signing him that made him choose to sign for Notts County, rather than other clubs who were interested in signing him.

Mills: Influenced Williams To Sign
Williams told the club's Official Website: "It was the influence of Gary Mills that made me opt to sign for Notts rather than some other clubs who were interested in signing me. Gary seemed to have a real desire to sign me and I'm delighted to be here."

Williams, who has not long been at the club, was mightily impressed with the efforts of the travelling contingent of Magpie fans at Tranmere last Saturday and praised them for backing the team throughout the tough game.

"The fans have been great since my arrival, especially last Saturday against Tranmere. I've never known fans to continue to chant and back the team like they did on Saturday; bearing in mind we lost 4-0." said Williams regarding the fans backing at Prenton Park.

The Welsh under 21 striker has made one full start and one appearance from the bench for Notts so far but is still settling in to the rough and tumble way of the English Second Division.
