Danny Livesey - he played for us you know?

NCM take a look at Bolton Wanderers defender, Danny Livesey who, as you know, has been loaned out to Notts for the month of September.

When news hit Meadow Lane that Billy Dearden had managed to secure the services of an up-and-coming central defender from a Premiership club, on loan of course, it was going to be anyone’s guess as to who it was.

But when we did find out the man that they call, Danny Livesey, question marks were raised as to who he was, because lets face it, he isn’t exactly what you’d call a household name now is he? Well no, not yet anyway.

The youngster is on loan at
Meadow Lane until the early October so, he only has one-month to impress enough for Notts to give the starlet an extension to his loan contract come October 5th.

But this 19-year-old really is the business, standing at 6 foot 3 he is the exception to the ‘clumsy centre half’ stereotype that has emerged and his level headedness has helped him slot nicely into the Magpies back-four, nudging Nick Fenton out of his way whilst doing so.

The
Salford born defender made his debut in the Premiership in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. However, since then he has managed a further three appearances for Big Sam’s men – however, only one was in the Premiership.

Livesey has, so far, plied his trade at the Reebok Stadium in the side’s reserve and youth games – in which, he has become a familiar site. However, as of late he has found first-team football hard to come by under former Notts manager Sam Allardyce, so the starlet has been loaned out to patch up a leaking hole in the Magpies defence.

Danny has already been touted as the “next Kevin Nolan” by his manager who thinks very highly of the young centre-half.
