Whitley Should Make City Clash

Whitley dropped out of Saturday's game at Blackpool because of a stomach bug that has gone round The Magpies camp of late, with Danny Stone also having the bug last week.

The on loan Manchester City midfielder trained with the squad on Monday, and is likely to go straight back into the midfield.

Darren Caskey is back from suspension while Simon Ramsden should be fit after recovering from his septic toe in time.

However, Michael Brough will be out for around 2-3 weeks after injuring his ankle at Blackpool, and should be back for the games over the Christmas period.
