White loaned out

The Notts manager, despite talk being rife of a move to managerless Leicester City, has rounded off a hectic day of wheeling-and-dealing in the transfer market by sending out-of-favour striker Andy White on loan for a month. This news, of course, following that of Thordarson adding long-time target, Noe Sissoko to his ranks earlier today.

White - Out in the cold
White, 24, had become one of the main targets of the Meadow Lane boo-boys of late after failing to score for the Magpies since November last year. Today, news from the Notts County Official site declared that he had been sent out on loan to Kidderminster Harriers in search of a regular first team place.

The player, who only signed for the club in the summer, enjoyed a previous loan spell at Aggborough during the 2003/04 season, netting once in six starts for the Harriers.

Incidentally, White will come up against Notts County team-mate Matty Williams in just a few weeks, when Kidderminster travel to The Lamb Ground in mid-February for their league encounter.

Elsewhere, with the mid-night deadline nearing, it is becoming more and more unlikely that Gudjon Thordarson will add another front-man to his squad, as he described such talks as a ‘nightmare’.

Magpies World subscribers today learnt that Gudjon had seen a move for an unnamed centre-forward fall through at the eleventh hour, after ‘complications’ at the player’s end of the line.

With a few, precious hours still left to bring in that all all-elusive second striker, be sure that Notts County MAD will bring you any updates as and when we hear them.
