What the Managers have to say...

Last updated : 28 March 2007 By Gary Moss

Hartlepool United Manager Danny Wilson has labelled his side's 3-0 away win at Darlington as 'masterful' as they put an end to the Quaker's unbeaten run in 2007.

Wilson...Proud

The Pool themselves are now unbeaten in 22 after Eifion Williams helped the league leaders to a comfortable victory at the Darlington Arena.

Not only does the win give United another three points as they open a five point lead at the top, but the win also marked an impressive local derby victory, that means everything to the fans.

Wilson
told the BBC: "I'm very proud of the players- they were fantastic."

Wrexham boss Brian Carey has handed out special praise to Saturday's goal scorer Jeff Whitley, as his last gasp strike led the Red Dragons to a narrow 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers.

Carey said: "Although he took it well, he wasn't bought here for goals. We're looking to build this team around him and he's running the show at the moment."

The win wasn't enough to lift Wrexham from the bottom two, but a morale boasting victory away at the in-form Pirates, shows they have exactly what it takes to beat the drop this season.

Walsall
's Brian Money is taking the positives from their 1-1 draw at MK Dons on Sunday. Not in the greatest of form, but still second in the table, the Saddler's boss was pleased to come with a point.

"
There is a good resilience and never-say-die attitude about us that makes us difficult to beat."

Sturrock...Hails new signing

And finally, Swindon Town chief Paul Sturrock is delighted with the contribution of his new signing Barry Corr as he made his debut in their 3-2 win against Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.

Sturrock said of the on-loan striker that he made things happen and was key to their win over the Imps.

"The freshness of the new signings has put an edge to the rest of the squad."

But the game changed when Barry Corr had to go off with a slight tweak to his back."

The win put the Robin's up to fourth in the table just outside an automatic promotion slot.
