Weston to Brentford?

Notts County's flying winger Myles Weston has today been linked with a move back to London, to League Two Champions Brentford, according to reports in the capital. Weston, who has had a contract offer on the table since October, is still yet to put pen to paper and is said to favour a move back closer to his home in London, with Brentford being one of the realistic clubs who fit the bill.

The Bees meanwhile have seen player of the season and left winger Sam Wood stall on a new contract, and having released Glenn Poole are said to be looking at other options to take them into their League One campaign, and Weston is rumoured to be on Andy Scott's list of targets. Brentford brought in three players from Dagenham & Redbridge last week, including winger Sam Saunders, and Scott looks to be willing to raid the best talent League Two has to offer in a bid to bolster his squad for the new campaign.

Magpies manager Ian McParland remains hopeful that the winger will sign the three-year deal that is still on the table for him, but if other offers come in it is likely Weston's head could be turned. With his contract expiring on July 1st, an announcement on Weston's future will surely come in the near future. Should Weston move to any other club, due to him being under 24 the Magpies will be entitled to a fee, which would be set by tribunal.
