We're forever blowing....cup hopes

After their gallant come-back from being a goal-down to coming away 2-1 victors, Notts made the county-skipping trip home in the know that the next stage of County’s Carling Cup travels will see them on the road once more, this time to Upton Park, where Coca Cola Championship outfit, West Ham United will be awaiting in the Second Round.

After Notts started this season’s Carling Cup festivities with a win over higher-league opposition - this year with Bradford after last year's penalty win against Preston. - The Meadow Lane boo-boys, albeit momentarily, will have good reason to keep their heads low, and the Magpies will surely be hoping for a repeat ticket into the Third Round – where the real big-boys enter the playground.

An Ian Richardson equaliser little past the hour mark helped take the match to extra-time before, low and behold, an injury-time screamer from Rob Ullathorne sealed the deal.

Expect a full report to be on NCM shortly.
