Over 67 percent of Notts fans believe that Michael Johnson should be equipped with the captain's armband for next season.
Out of the 64 people that voted, 43 selected Johnson ahead of the likes of Mike Edwards, Kevin Pilkington, Adam Tann and this season's top goal-scorer, Richard Butcher. 
The former Derby skipper who returned to the club 13 years after he departed for Birmingham City always looked set to come out on top due to his great relationship with the fans, as well as his influential presence on the pitch.
Edwards came second in the poll with nearly 16 percent of the votes, followed by Tann who received 8 percent.
Pilkington, this year's Supporters' Club and Players' Player of the Year totalled just two votes, alongside Butcher.
The remaining two selections were for another player to take up the role.
