VOLUNTEERS NEEDED URGENTLY

Last updated : 10 January 2003 By Rob Davies

Volunteers are needed because after the cold snap of the past week the game is in doubt and if it was to be called off it would have a serious effect on the clubs finances.

Up to £50,000 of revenue could be lost by the match not being played tomorrow afternoon.

There are two main area of concern of the Meadow Lane pitch. Both are either side of the centre circle.

ANY VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE WILLING TO DO THEIR BIT TO MAKE THE PITCH PLAYABLE SHOULD BE AT THE GROUND FROM 8.30AM ONWARDS WITH FORKS AND BRUSHES.

There will be a pitch inspection by the referee at around 11am to midday so with some hard work the team should be running out at 3pm like usual.

It is vitally important that this game is on will go some way to getting back some of the revenue that would otherwise have been lost in January.

EVERY LITTLE BIT OF HELP COUNTS.
