Tuesday Night provides a bright spot for Notts

Tuesday night's League One results generally went in the favour of Notts County as they look to stave off the threat of an immediate relegation back to the fourth tier.

Dagenham & Redbridge remain one point and one place below the Magpies after they were narrowly beaten 1-0 at home by league leaders Brighton & Hove Albion, Glenn Murray bagging a 59th minute winner for the Seagulls.

Swindon Town remain eight points adrift of the Magpies having played three games more after a late Ryan Harley penalty condemned them to defeat at Exeter City, whilst Sheffield Wednesday's terrible run at Hillsborough continued with a 3-1 defeat to Brentford. Yeovil Town however took a huge step to safety with a 1-0 win over Carlisle United, Jonathan Obika with the goal.

On Monday night Notts' opponents on Saturday, Oldham Athletic, slugged out a 0-0 draw with fellow relegation strugglers Tranmere Rovers at Boundary Park.
