Meadow Lane : The perfect stage?
The £5,000 flat fee to bring Scoffham to Notts is now being fronted by the supporters of the club as the Trust have established a sponsor deal that will cover the initial fee of the striker.

Steve Thompson, the Trust representative on the club’s board, said that the main reason to offer their assistance because they felt it was a ‘community issue’.

Thompson, in an interview with the Nottingham Evening Post, went on to say: ’ It would not have been the same had the club wanted to sign a random player from Walsall, for example.

'But we are talking about a young Nottingham lad - and Gedling Town will benefit too.

Hopefully he will prove a very good asset to Notts County.

NCM also understand that the 20-year striker – currently on the books of Northern Counties League side, Gedling Town – is set to agree personal terms with the Magpies at some point today.
