Trigger-happy Thommo lines-up quartet

Last updated : 15 June 2006 By Richard Brown

After stating he had been in-touch with a whopping twenty-five players since his appointment, manager Steve Thompson has moved quickly today to come within touching distance of his first, second, third and even fourth additions to his playing squad for next season, the club's official web-site reported late this afternoon.

Pettefer: Amongst the quartet?
Thompson will reveal the identities of the quarter at a 9am unveiling tomorrow morning, as well as having stated that he has ‘irons in the fire' with five or six more players.

The repute of these signings may, if nothing else, help to silence the all-too dominant boo-boys who've helped force a whopping seventy-plus percent condemnation of the recently-installed Magpies boss in the on-going NCM poll.

Although the identities of the foursome have yet to be revealed, do not be too surprised if, in-line with NCM reports earlier this week, diminutive winger Carl Pettefer – formerly of Portsmouth and Southend – is amongst the influx of fresh faces introduced to the Magpies' faithful early tomorrow morning.

For news on the identity of the quartet, be sure to check back to Notts County MAD tomorrow morning.
