Thompson hit with FA wrap

The Notts boss was sent-off by 'referee' Danny McDermid at the half-time interval after a series of decisions went against the Magpies.

Novice McDermid awarded Thompson's side a penalty in the fifth minute of the encounter, but changed his mind after argument from the Dons players and home supporters. He would also send-off Notts' Matt Somner before half-time.

Notts captain Alan White was also later dismissed by the official, who Thompson later described as the worst he had seen in 30 years in the game.

The Notts manager has until September 19th to respond to the charge, that could lead to a fine and/or a touchline ban.
