In an official statement the Reedtz brothers said: “We are very pleased to be part of a project to establish Viborg as a competitive Superliga side in the long term and look forward to making positive contributions to the club through our established and ever-improving analysis models.

“Our enjoyable experience of professional football led to us making this decision and we believe deploying our methods in another culture and environment will be beneficial to both Viborg and Notts County in the future.

“We have thoroughly enjoyed our two years so far at the world’s oldest professional club and our investment in Viborg does not affect our ownership in any way.

“It’s been very encouraging to see Michael Doyle and Sam Slocombe commit their future to us and we remain in regular dialogue with Ian Burchnall, Jason Turner and the recruitment team as we look to build a promotion-winning side.

“We would also like to say a huge thank you to the Notts supporters for their incredible response to our season tickets going on sale. We can’t wait to see you all at Meadow Lane soon."
