Team news…vs. Northampton

Last updated : 14 February 2005 By Richard Brown

Notts go into tomorrow’s clash with no fewer than five injuries to our 21-man squad as they near their third match in the ten days. Such a significant number of personnel sidelined effectively picking the 16-man selection for itself.

Richo: Nearly there...?
Player/manager Ian Richardson continues his long road to recovery – five months after having been ruled out for just two – from a knee ligament injury, and subsequent operations.

However, Richardson has problems on a more impersonal basis to contend with, with defender Julien Baudet still injured. The Frenchman, who missed Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Darlington through injury, looks set to be sidelined for the visit of the Cobbler’s tomorrow due to damage to his ankle.

Young defender, Emmet Friars looks set to miss out also, due to having recently picked up injury to his knee ligaments.

Meanwhile, Steve Scoffham (broken leg) nears recovery whilst fellow long-term injury sufferer, Mike Edwards (cruciate ligament damage) continues the slow trail to recovery.
